Just like Portuguese Filigree, Baroque Jewels are iconic treasures of Portuguese Goldsmithing. Molded and finished by hand in a century-old workshop in northern Portugal, by highly experienced artisans, each piece - heart, cross or otherwise - is a hollow masterpiece, meticulously produced.

The "bulgy" look of these medals, available in various sizes, creates an impression of great impact, yet they are remarkably light.

The artisanal process involves molding each part in fine silver sheet, using a wooden hammer on old bronze dies, preserving traditions since the end of the 18th century. After molding, the parts are filed and polished, and in the case of double pieces, joined by welding, and are then subjected to a delicate cleaning, patination and burnishing process.

Every detail is enhanced, every surface is carefully crafted to create contrasts between dark backgrounds and bright areas. The result is a brilliant and unique piece, incorporating the authenticity and artisanal value of Traditional Portuguese Goldsmithing.
