The gold room of the Costume Museum, recently renovated, features an exhibition curated by Rosa Maria Mota.
The exhibition includes pieces from the Eduardo Freitas Foundation, resulting from a donation from Manuel Freitas to Viana do Castelo, plus acquisitions from the city council.
This renovation allows visitors to find information about the instruments used in the production of goldsmithing, as well as the most representative pieces of the collection, such as the Bead Necklaces, the Heart of Viana, the Cord and the Resplendor Cross.
Visitors can also admire the Gramalheira Necklaces, Butterflies, Reliquaries, Libras and Medals, as well as the most characteristic earrings of Viana do Castelo - Heart of Viana Earrings and Queen or Vianesa Earrings.
The exhibition also includes 20th century pieces and men's goldsmithing.
